Unfortunately, due to construction on MIT’s campus, Friday volunteers will be unable to park at MIT. This change is for Friday only. We highly encourage Friday volunteers to utilize public transportation, ride, or walk to Pierce Boathouse for their shifts. Kendall Square, on the Red Line, is the closest subway stop to Pierce Boathouse, and the 1 bus stops at 77 Massachusetts Avenue (outbound to Harvard) and 84 Massachusetts Avenue (inbound to Dudley). Kendall Square is approximately 20 minutes by foot from Pierece Boathouse, and 77 and 84 Massachusetts Avenue are approximately 12 minutes away.
If you must drive to your volunteer shifts on Friday, we ask that you carpool and park at Community Rowing in Brighton where you can catch a ride on a launch or travel to MIT via rideshare.
