We highly encourage volunteers to utilize public transportation, ride or walk to MIT’s Pierce Boathouse for their shifts.

Kendall/MIT, on the Red Line, is the closest subway stop to MIT’s Pierce Boathouse. The 1 bus stops at 77 Massachusetts Ave (outbound to Harvard) and 84 Massachusetts Ave (inbound to Nubian). The CT2 bus stops on Vassar St at Massachusetts Ave (inbound to Ruggles or outbound to Sullivan).

Kendall Square is approximately a 20-minute walk from MIT’s Pierce Boathouse. 77 Massachusetts Ave and 84 Massachusetts Ave are approximately an 8-minute walk. Vassar St at Massachusetts Ave is approximately a 13-minute walk.

Friday

Unfortunately, there will be no parking available at MIT on Friday for the 2024 Head of the Charles Regatta.

Saturday and Sunday

We will provide updates on parking over the weekend when we have more information.
